Meet the Staff

 Dan Choudek - Electrical Engineer


Founder and owner of OnSite Engineering, is Principal Engineer. Involved in forensic electrical engineering for over 23 years, Dan participates in fire and electrical investigations throughout the United States, providing complete, knowledgeable and friendly service to all clients. In addition to working in the field at a fire scene, Dan completes laboratory work, fire cause analysis and x-rays at OnSite Engineering’s office site. As necessary, Dan provides accurate testimony in litigation cases and has testified in state and federal courts across the country. A graduate of North Dakota State University, Dan is a licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota, South Dakota and Illinois. As a result of extensive work on a multi-million dollar apartment complex fire in Burnsville, MN in 2008, Dan and his team were the recipients of the 2009 Investigation Team of the Year Award from the Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.

Michelle Choudek - Co-owner of OnSite Engineering


Michelle manages the accounting, human resources and billing operations as Business Administrator. Early in her career, Michelle spent several years at Honeywell corporate offices. Until the start-up of OnSite Engineering, Michelle spent the majority of her time in the non-profit arena, using her degrees in social work and education. She finds her experience counseling and teaching adults to be very valuable and transferable to her role at OnSite.

 

Julie Bartz - Office Coordinator at Onsite Engineering


Julie provides office support for the OnSite engineering team. Julie also handles the day-to-day scheduling and contact with clients. Julie has over 25 years of administrative experience in the manufacturing, law, telecom and engineering fields.

 Brock Lindstedt - Electrical Engineer


Brock has been involved in fire investigation since 2002. He has also worked as a first responder and continues his service as a volunteer firefighter in his community. Brock is a graduate of the University of Illinois.

Luke Choudek - Engineering Technician


Luke is currently a student at the University of Minnesota Duluth in his third year of the electrical engineering program. As an engineering technician, Luke provides assistance to the engineering team at fire scenes and in the laboratory.

JP Fonder - Engineering Technician


JP is in his third year of engineering school at University of Minnesota Duluth. Along with other technicians, JP provides support to the OnSite engineering team and maintains the expansive warehouse of evidence recovered from fire scenes.

Craig Turner - Engineering Consultant for OnSite

Craig's background is primarily in power engineering. He earned his electrical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.
